RECIPE for Coconut Milk Powder Burfi.
The recipe that failed me but please try for yourself and let me know how it goes.
1 cup desiccated coconut powder
1 cup milk powder
1 cup milk
1/4 cup ghee
1/2 cup sugar
2 cardamom pods or 2/16 tsp
2 tblsp pistachios chopped
Heat a pan, add milk,ghee and mix thoroughly.
Add milk powder and stir continuously.
When the mixture becomes thick add sugar
and stir continuously. After 2 mins add coconut powder
and crushed cardamom to the pan.
Cook mixture on low flame.
Stir continuously until it reaches the freezing consistency.
(This is where I got confused and probably didn't cook long enough. Never heard of freezing consistency)
Remove pan and transfer mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle pistachios evenly.
Place in fridge for 1 hour.
Cut into squares????????
